Call, Internet Services Partially Restored in J&K After Major Outage

Call, Internet Services Partially Restored in J&K After Major Outage

SRINAGAR, Aug 27: Mobile call and internet services have been restored in several parts of Jammu region after a major outage across all telecom service providers on Tuesday.

 

Officials said connectivity has resumed in many areas of Jammu city, while districts like Kishtwar, Doda, Bhaderwah, and Ramban are still facing network blackout.

 

The outage, caused by multiple optical fibre cuts amid heavy rainfall, had left people across Jammu and Kashmir without mobile signals and internet access on Tuesday. Even BSNL’s landline and fibre services were impacted.

 

Authorities confirmed that technical teams are still on the ground to restore services in the remaining affected areas. Telecom operators assured that full restoration is expected soon.
